Trigger Method:
Once the arming band has been removed, pressure on the edge of the mine tilts the top half and shears the end off the fuze, scraping a pin through a friction-sensitive composition to cause initiation.

Structure and Components:
The cover is rubber and the remainder of the mine is plastic. The safety collar contains a small steel spring.
